During the winter months here in Hawai'i, the Pacific Humpback whales migrate down from Alaska to mate, nurse their young, and enjoy the warm shallow Hawaiian waters. The protected waters of Ma'alaea Bay are known to be the favored calving grounds of the humpbacks. The stable rafts can get to the whales quickly, allowing more time for observation and listening with extremely sensitive hydrophones.  While on board, the crew will inform guests about the Humpback's and their migration down to Hawai'i. These whale encounters are truly amazing experiences and have brought people back to the islands year after year to see these magnificent creatures. The zodiac's provide an even greater experience than most other commercial boats for whale watching because of the close proximity these rafts have to the water. It also allows for everyone on board to have a front row seat!
